Dear Tall Ships, Twelves, and World Class Sailboats of America and the World,
Come one, come all! You are cordially invited to attend America’s Jubilee celebrating 250 years of America and Rhode Island in the Sailing Capital of the World. We honor America and Rhode Island with a Race and Celebration on June 5th, 2026, recognizing their declaration of independence on May 4 and July 4, 1776, respectively.
Tall Ships, Twelves, and World Class sailboats will start at the Castle Hill Lighthouse and sail a 24 mile Newport course with Tiffany trophies for the winner of each class. The Race will start at 10am and the Celebration will start at 5pm across Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay with a fireworks finale. The event is limited to 250 entries with preference given to Tall Ships and Twelves. World Class sailboats are welcomed with unlimited length and a minimum LOA of 24 feet. World Class entries will start in waves based on a relative LOA range. We will endeavor to start class sailboats together, whether they are J Class, America’s Cup racers, super sailing yachts, or J-24s. A reservation list is currently available and will hold a position for an official entry. A waiting list will be utilized once the reservation list or official entry list reaches the 250 max. Entry fee for all sailboats is $250.
We hope you will join us for this lifetime memory event celebrating 250 years of America and Rhode Island.
Fair Winds and Following Seas!
